The honest test: if nights are disturbed more than twice, or if two-person transfers are needed, you need two carers on rotation. We'd rather tell you that upfront than place one carer into a setup that will burn them out in three weeks.

What is 24-hour care at home?
24-hour care means there is always someone awake or on-call in the home. For most families this is delivered as live-in care (one carer with undisturbed nights) or, if nights are busy, two carers on rotation so neither is sleep-deprived.
How much does 24-hour care cost?
Single live-in care is £950–£1,500/week. Two carers on rotation (for disturbed nights or complex needs) is typically £1,500–£2,200/week. DebbiesCare has no agency commission — you pay the carer directly.
Live-in care vs waking nights
Live-in carers do undisturbed nights as standard — they sleep, but are there if needed. Waking nights are for clients who genuinely need help more than twice a night. Most families don't need a waking-night carer; honest assessment matters.
Is 24-hour care available for couples?
Yes. One live-in carer can support a couple in the same home, usually for +£150–£250/week on the single rate. We won't match a single carer to a couple where one needs hoisting or has very disturbed nights — safety first.
